The food, art, music and histories of the diverse peoples of the West Indies and Caribbean are showcased during the Windy City Carnival season of events. This is where Carnival lovers come to experience Chicago’s version of this hemispheric phenomenon. With roots dating back to the 1990s, Carnival in Chicago was resurrected by husband and wife duo, Kirvan and Lystra Audain. Windy City Carnival is a rich multievent movement uniting individuals from every walk of life.
